Devotional : The Purpose of Christ’s Advent

Image
Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 1 John 3:4-6 Why do we anticipate Christmas with such relish? For the believer, the answer must surely lie, above all, in the awareness that Jesus Christ appeared to take away our sins. Click here to continue reading

Biblical Archaeology : Inside Noah’s Ark with Dr. Tim Chaffey

Image
Can we REALLY believe in Noah’s ark? Practically speaking, the idea of a massive flood, a giant ark, a rainbow covenant, and the preservation of animals through the care of one small family on an ancient ship sounds outlandish at best. But are there legitimate answers to some of the most common objections raised by skeptics in regards to this well-known Bible story? Earlier this month, Frank had the pleasure of visiting the Ark Encounter, which is an AMAZING exhibit that features a full-size replica of Noah’s ark based on the dimensions specified in the Bible. During his time at the Ark Encounter, Frank got to meet up with the founder, Ken Ham, and The Ark’s content manager, Dr. Timothy Chaffey. In this unique and exciting podcast episode, Tim joins Frank to answer some questions about Noah’s Ark and The Ark Encounter such as:     Around what time period did Noah enter the ark and how long did it take him to build it?     How did Noah track down all the different animals?     Could a

Devotional : Teaching With Integrity

Image
I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house. Acts 20:20 Paul never succumbed to the temptation to shape his message to cater to his hearers’ tastes, and neither must we. It is always tempting to temper what we say to avoid the prejudices or tickle the fancies of those we’re speaking to, whether we’re speaking from a platform or over a meal table. But if we are going to be honest stewards of the message given to us in the Bible, then our teaching and speaking about it needs to be marked by integrity. Click here to continue reading

Devotional : Your Primary Calling: Faithfulness

Image
They have gone out for the sake of the name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. Therefore we ought to support people like these, that we may be fellow workers for the truth. 3 John 1:7-8 About 10 to 15 miles off the coast of France lies a cluster of landmasses called the Channel Islands. In 1940, Germany invaded and occupied them. Among the tunnels the Germans built on one of them, Jersey, there is a plaque that details the generous labor of a few women from the occupied island who bravely sent mittens, socks, flying helmets, sweaters, and more to the United Kingdom’s Royal Air Force. Because of their generosity, as some brave airmen flew against the German airplanes to resist Nazi Germany’s attempt to take over Europe, they were warmed by the products of those women’s compassion.   Continue reading click here

Devotional : Wake Up!

Image
To the angel of the church in Sardis write: “The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God … If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you.” Revelation 3:1-3 The city of Sardis thought it was impregnable because of the way it was built. In fact, it was never taken by a direct assault on the gates and walls of the city—but twice it was taken by stealth, under the cover of darkness. Its very sense of security worked against it. Devotional : Embraced by Christ

Image
And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: “The words of the first and the last, who died and came to life. I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Revelation 2:8-10 Jesus is the first and the last, the Alpha and Omega, the one who is from everlasting to everlasting. Kingdoms rise and fall, and dynasties crumble, but the Lord Jesus is without beginning and without end, for even death could not hold Him. He precedes us and will continue after us. Devotional : Committed to Truth

Image
I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name’s sake, and you have not grown weary. Revelation 2:2-3 The 1980s British prime minister Margaret Thatcher was nothing if not determined. Whatever view we take of her politics, she was certainly a woman of conviction, famously declaring at a moment when many of her political allies were telling her to change course, “You turn if you want to. The lady’s not for turning.” Continue reading click here

Podcast - Culture & Religion : Are Christian Politicians Trying to Set Up a Theocracy?

Image
Are Christian politicians plotting to turn America into a theocracy? That’s precisely what the woke media outlets want you to think, often accusing Christians of trying to violate the “separation of church and state”. They also accuse Christians of trying to legislate morality. But if Christians and conservatives don’t have the “right” to legislate morality, who does? House Speaker, Mike Johnson, was recently accused of being a theocrat in an article published by The Guardian titled ‘ Mike Johnson, Theocrat: The House Speaker and a Plot Against America .’ In this week’s podcast episode, Frank reviews the scathing article that was written by attorney Marci A. Hamilton who analyzes an  old clip from Representative Mike Johnson . Frank will also address questions like: What is the true definition of a theocracy? Should principles found in the Bible be eradicated from all public policy? What objective source do Leftists and atheists have for public policy? Is the “separation of

Devotional : Christ Knows Your Works

Image
To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: “The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands. I know your works.” Revelation 2:1-2 Jesus knows you. The letter to the church in Ephesus is the first of Christ’s seven letters to the first-century churches in Revelation 2 – 3, and each begins, “I know…” Jesus knew and understood these early believers’ circumstances. When it came to their successes and their struggles, their trials and their tribulations, He was deeply aware and concerned, and He wrote to each church specifically about the context in which it found itself (Revelation 2:9, 13, 19; 3:1, 8, 15). Devotional : Dead-End Streets

Image
I said in my heart, “Come now, I will test you with pleasure; enjoy yourself.” But behold, this also was vanity. Ecclesiastes 2:1 Ecclesiastes is an ancient book, yet its words are compellingly relevant. Although it was written around 3,000 years ago, you might think that the author had his finger on the pulse of our contemporary life. And indeed, as you read, you find yourself being walked down a number of dead-end streets representing the common paths we often tread in our search for satisfaction.  Click Here to continue reading

Culture : Why Do Our Kids Love Hamas?: Stupidity, Boredom and The Embrace of Evil

Image
Across the country, especially on university campuses , Americans are witnessing a growing sympathy for what one could only call “barbarism,” and that in its most pristine form. Protests in favor not just of the Palestinian people, but of the radical Jihadist wing of Palestine, Hamas , have multiplied around the nation. For many, this is shocking. For others, it is a development to be welcomed. For a few of us, it is upsetting but also not surprising . In the end, however, we must try to answer what is a fairly serious question about the current society we live in. That question can be framed simply as: why do our kids love Hamas? Devotional : The Law of Love

Image
If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. James 2:8 The last time you said you loved someone or something, what did you mean? In our age, we often equate love with a certain emotional experience. People declare “love” based on how they feel. It’s no surprise, then, that the idea of acting lovingly out of a sense of duty sounds strange to our ears. Surely if an action is dutiful, it cannot be done out of love? Continue reading click here
